If you do not set up the Permit internet search in Copilot plan, internet search is offered to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you set the Allow the usage of added optional connected experiences in Office policy to Disabled.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Teams, and Expectation for the majority of users who are eligible for Copilot Conversation across the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also alter the pinning settings of Copilot Conversation for customers in Microsoft Teams with the Teams admin center: Appoint an application arrangement plan with Copilot Conversation in the pinned applications to customers with an Entra account.

To assist enhance the quality of feedbacks, Copilot Conversation can use web search queries sent out to the Bing search solution to ground responses in the latest information from the internet.
