The School of Computer Science is a software talent training center that operates majors in artificial intelligence and software with the goal of nurturing professionals in the IT/SW field to implement a future of intelligence society.

    The demand for software engineers is increasing at an average annual rate of 9.4%, and it is expected that there will be a shortage of more than 50,000 every year. Particularly, the trend toward intelligence, diversification, and high-end Korea's society and industry continues to require a workforce with expertise in the IT/SW field. To this end, nurturing future prospects with software competencies in artificial intelligence, information security, big data, mobile communication, and smart factories is of paramount importance.

    The School of Computer Science aims to foster creative and practical software personnel who will lead the high-tech digital information industry and holistic talents with problem-solving ability in an advanced industrial and technological society. To this end, we are responding to social and industrial demands through periodic curriculum management. Specifically, we are improving our leading software capabilities through specific programs such as theoretical and practical education, field education, project-based education, and overseas-linked education.

    In response to the 4th Industrial Revolution and the digital transformation era, the School of Computer Science offers in-depth learning of artificial intelligence and software majors from the third grade. In artificial intelligence major, the students learn the theoretical and practical machine learning based on the basic concepts of artificial intelligence. In software major, students develop their professional abilities in fields such as big data, cloud computing, communication and security, and embedded software.

  • 4Advance into the broadest fields

    Software-related occupations exist in all organizations, whether in government, public institutions, or private enterprises. Large companies such as Samsung Electronics, Samsung SDS, LG Electronics, LG CNS, SKT, IBM, etc., mid-sized companies such as NHN, Daum, NCsoft, Mando, computer departments in banks and finance, software consulting, computer education, and government-funded organizations annually hire software engineers. It is also possible to work as a freelancer by obtaining national certificates such as Engineer Information Processing, Industrial Engineer Information Processing, Engineer Computer, Industrial Engineer Computer, and E-Business Master and private certificates such as Information Search Professional, Webmaster, and Network Managers.
