    Club introduction

CGAC (Contributing Group as a Code) Club as the name suggests, focuses on society outreach contributions through our coding skills. Our primary research interests are web, android, and drones. Since its establishment in 2014, we have built up many achievements during a short period of time, and we are volunteering to provide various software for people who need our technical aid. We have introduced mentor and mentee systems across students of all levels. Freshman and sophomore students take seminars to improve their software competency, and senior and junior students, as the center of the club, participate in competitions and provide guidance. Our social activities include MT events, intramural activities and gatherings in big and small sizes to foster deep rapport and bond among the club members.

    Club Introduction

TUX is the name of a mascot character for Linux. It became the signature of our club with our hopes that the cute image this character gives may let students feel closer to Linux, unlike the initial impression that Linux feels just vague and difficult. As the understanding of OSS has emerged a skill nothing less than essential, the needs of an organization that focuses on researching OSS as well as Linux has emerged together within our department. Therefore, we are planning various activities to help all undergraduate students within our department strengthen their understanding of Linux and OSS. Those activities may include research activities in OSS including Linux systems, certification programs and participation in competitions, then providing resources in Linux and OSS as well as seminars to the department community. We are advancing our plan to grow as experts in Linux and Open Source SW, through the intensive research and development activities on Linux, the core of IT infrastructure and servers, as well as Open Source Software.
