If you don't set up the Permit internet search in Copilot policy, web search is offered to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you set the Enable the use of added optional connected experiences in Office plan to Disabled.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Expectation for most customers who are eligible for Copilot Conversation throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can also alter the pinning setups of Copilot Conversation for users in Microsoft Teams via the Teams admin facility: Assign an application setup policy with Copilot Chat in the pinned apps to customers with an Entra account.

The Permit internet search in Copilot plan also allows you to take care of internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit. To ensure people across your organization have very easy accessibility to Copilot Chat and can take advantage of its safety and security copilot portal login and experience updates, we advise that your users have Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat pinned to their navigation bar.
