If you do not set up the Enable web search in Copilot policy, web search is available to users by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you set the Permit the use of extra optional connected experiences in Workplace policy to Handicapped.

Copilot Chat is now pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Groups, and Overview for most users who are eligible for Copilot Conversation across the internet, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can also change the pinning settings of Copilot Conversation for users in Microsoft Teams via the Groups admin facility: Appoint an app setup policy with Copilot Conversation in the pinned apps to users with an Entra account.
