Charity Lawson's brother Nehemiah went undercover as a bartender to glean information for her on Monday's season 20 premiere of The Bachelorette on ABC.  

Brayden Bowers, 24, a travel nurse from San Diego, impressed Charity, 27, from the start when he stepped out of the limo with tequila shots on a tray.

'Shot at love,' Brayden quipped.

Brayden and Charity kissed and he went back excitedly and told the other men what happened including undercover brother Nehemiah.

'Because I'm the older brother I'm on the lookout because men can be dogs,' Nehemiah said.

He thought it was weird when he heard the men talk about wanting to kiss his sister and especially Brayden for bringing up that he was in the running for the coveted First Impression rose.

'We kissed!' Brayden said to Nehemiah and other men at the bar. 'It was a good kiss.' 

'Brayden has a huge ego,' Nehemiah said. 'I see it in his body language. I hear it in the way he's talking.'

Nehemiah then revealed that he was Charity's older brother and took off his disguise.

'I've heard some good things from you tonight and I've heard some other things that I'm a little questionable about,' Nehemiah told the surprised suitors.

Nehemiah went to go talk to Charity.

'Everybody in this room is shocked,' said Caleb Balgaard, 24, a pro wrestler from Orlando, Florida. 'The bartender's Nehemiah, Charity's brother and right now he's talking to Charity.'

'Brayden was definitely mouthing off at the bar,' said Aaron Bryant, 29, a software salesman, from San Diego. 'He was feeling cocky, really putting their time out there in public, which doesn't make it special.'

Nehemiah then told Charity that he disguised himself as a bartender and listened in to the other men talking. He said he was pleasantly surprised by Aaron because he seemed authentic. He said Brayden came back from their kiss  over confident and emboldened.

Charity came back into the room and asked Brayden to come talk to her.

'The feeling that I had was giddy,' Brayden said. 'I thought it went great. I thought it went amazing. That's kind of where I was at. I wasn't really in a place of trying to brag.'

In a confessional, Brayden said he was just excited.

'You never want to come off like a cocky [expletive],' Brayden said. 'I just feel like s* right now.'

Charity told him that she didn't take the First Impression rose lightly. Charity said it meant a lot to her that he shared that with her brother that he thought he might get it.

'You have every single right to feel that because,' said Charity as she pulled the rose out from under her jacket. 'You have truly been a breath of fresh air for me and I feel the exact same way.'

Brayden was stunned.

'I give Brayden the First Impression rose because I'm feeling super happy about him,' Charity said in a confessional.

They kissed again after he accepted the rose. 

'I feel so bad. I love seeing you squirm,' Charity told him. 

'To be able to say I got the First Impression rose and I stuck out to her that's what's got me giddy,' Brayden said.

Brayden walked in with the rose and the other men were shocked.

At the start of the show, Charity was excited to meet the 25 contestants after having her heart broken last season on The Bachelor by Zach Shallcross, 26.

'I'm so excited for this,' Charity said. 'Bring on my husband.'

Aaron was the first man to arrive.

'This is a good start,' Charity said after meeting him.

Josh Young, 28, a Harvard grad student from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, told her that he had been dreaming of the moment. Joey Graziadei, 27, a tennis pro from Koloa, Hawaii, brought her a flower to wear from the island. Caleb Arthur, 29, a physician from Kentwood, Michigan, handed her a stethoscope and told her to listen.

'That is a heart beating just for you,' Caleb said.

John Henry Spurlock, 30, an underwater welder, from Virginia Beach, Virginia, got out of the limo wearing an underwater helmet.

'I just want to dive in with you,' John said.

'They're really leaving an impression on me,' Charity said. 'Hopefully the connections can grow all the way to a proposal at the end and the love of a lifetime.'

'I'm impressed,' Charity said. 'That was killer.'

Spencer Storebeck, 32, a medical sales director, from Moorepark, California, got out of the limo saying he was 'terrified.' Caleb Balgaard, 24, a pro wrestler from Orlando, got out of the car wearing a cowboy hat.

Michael Barbour, 29, a yacht captain from Chicago, gave Charity a charm bracelet with a boat charm. Taylor Pegg, 32, a loan officer from Beavercreek, Ohio, filmed himself and said to the camera that he was meeting his children's mother for the first time. 

Jon Buresh, 27, a data scientist from Excelsior, Minnesota, gave her a fortune cookie that read she would meet the man of her dreams and his name was Jon. Charity laughed.

Dotun Olubeko, 30, a medicine specialist from Fresno, California, told Charity he was looking forward to getting to know her.

Charity later told host Jesse Palmer, 44, that she already thought that she had met her husband. Jesse told her that a limo was going to pull up, and there was someone inside who she already knew.

'The truth is this guy reached out to us and he was adamant that he had to be here tonight,' Jesse said.

Charity screamed when she saw her brother Nehemiah get out of the car. Nehemiah then disguised himself to find out more about the other men by dressing as a bartender. Charity went inside the house and toasted the men and met with them individually.

Joey held hands with Charity and she reached in to snuggle with him.

'Joey gives me butterflies, I'm not going to lie,' Charity said.

James Pierce, 28, an attorney from Chicago, brought a box from home that had a letter to Charity written by his mom.

'I didn't know that she would do this,' James said.

The box also had donuts and apple cider.

'Tonight is off to a great start,' Charity said.

Charity reached over and kissed Xavier Bonner, 27, a biomedical student from Euclid, Ohio, when she sat down with him.

'Xavier, JetBlack Xavier, Xavier,' Charity said in a confessional. 'Definitely takes me by surprise. He is one I got to keep my eyes on. That kiss is just almost too good to be true.'

Charity also reached in and kissed John Buresh, 27, a data scientist from New York after their talk.

'I'm literally buzzing right now,' John said.

Spencer was nervous to sit down with Charity and to tell her that he had a son and worried it could be a deal breaker, but Charity told him that she thought it was beautiful.

Rose ceremony: Charity handed out 20 roses at the end of the two-hour episode

Aaron B. played his keyboard for Charity and later she kissed him.

At the end of the night, Charity handed out roses to 20 guys and sent five home.

'It's hard sending people home and I will always carry that,' Charity said. 'I want to stay true to the fact that I am following my heart, trusting my gut.'

The Bachelorette will return next Monday on ABC.
