He currently shows Imaginative Creating and Tenth Grade English at Leader Secondary School in Ann Arbor MI and guides the Literary Arts Program at Ann Arbor's Teenager Facility, The Neutral Area, where he founded and remains to guide many poetry programs.

Jeff Kass is the author of Knuckleheads, a finalist for Foreword Reviews Best Short Fiction Collection of 2011, and numerous chapbooks. Meissner grew up in Iowa and Wisconsin and was the supervisor of innovative composing at St. Cloud State College in Minnesota. She went back to the U.S. to attend Stanford College, and when the Islamic Transformation started brewing shortly after she finished, she returned to Iran and plunked herself down in it. She later obtained an MFA in Creative Creating from Boston University.
